CD data were collected on an Aviv 62DS spectrometer equipped with a thermoelectric unit. Protein samples were studied in 50 mM sodium phosphate buffer at pH 5.0. Wavelength scans were performed at 1°C. Thermal denaturations were monitored by CD at 222 nm and fitted to a two-state model as described (Minor & Kim, 1994).
