Details:

The activity of enzyme was measured by recording the increase in absorbance at 232 nm which is related to formation of double bond in the product with absorption coefficient (ε) of 3800 M−1 cm−1. Kinetic parameters were determined using Hanes plots according to the equation: [S]/v = Km/Vmax + [S]/Vmax. Data were interpreted using the program Hyper Version 1.0.0 (http://wvlc.uwaterloo.ca/biology447/modules/module7/hyper/index.htm).
